Great news for rodents! I am a T1 (complete) paraplegic and have followed with keen interest for sometime the progress in this area. We have been able to get our rodent friends to move their paralysed limbs for sometime now but I am yet to see any of it transfer over to us mortals! If the Chinese gunpowder rockets of years ago were our first steps to landing on Mars then by comparison this is more of a fizzle than a bang!

There is much more to this than most want to know. The entire Human Genome Project has been enabled via the introduction of IVF. There is no research into why women are becoming increasingly infertile because scientists and researchers needed the eggs and were unable to get them 'freesale'. Through IVF they now have them 'wholesale', avoiding serious ethical debate and futher reducing women to a series of bady parts.

I am very impressed about the results of research of the group in La Jolla, CA and Detroit, MI, scientists describe how they have successfully produced cloned human blastocysts, using fresh donated eggs and adult fibroblasts. Comprehensive analysis of DNA and mtDNA in the cells of the blastocyst cell donor and the results indicate that SCNT has occurred. This study has provided a step forward in health. And for me, this additional extraordinary science, because I can get in solving my blog entries about somatic gene therapy. Thank you.

This is an interesting, widely under-reported topic that the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting is presently investigating.

Journalist Scott Carney who is, at the time of writing, releasing a series of blog posts with the Pulitzer Center on the human egg trade in Spain and Cyprus:

"The price of a human egg depends on the characteristics of the donor.

In America, eggs harvested from white college students at Ivy League institutions can sell for as much as $100,000.

But there’s a cheaper way to get them.

Selling human eggs is illegal in much of Europe, however Cyprus and Spain have loopholes in their fertility industries markets that encourage desperate and poor women to sell their eggs for as little as $1400."

Scott Carney looks interviews different perspectives of the "trade" throughout Spain and Cyprus - from donors, doctors, go-betweens, and clinic recruiters.

I think the approach to this subject and the classification of body parts as commodities is completely wrong. Right away it is clear that they see profit and dollar signs, not human beings. This is simply Greed and nothing more. We could have had free energy for over 100 years because of Nikola Tesla, and because of the PROFIT problem we are being denied too many beneficial things. That's why I hate hospitals and doctors, because, "You Pay For Treatment, Not For Cures". It's time to become more involved and conscious of what is really happening around us. That is the only way things will be done FOR mankind, not against it.
